Mumbai, Sep 12: ‘Nivalisi Bitta Koli’, collection of stories written by Anita P Takode, has been selected for Padmavati Venkatesh award for 2023 said Deepa Uppar, publisher of Manikya Prakashana Hassan and Kotresh S Uppar, founder of Kendra Kannada Sahitya Vedike, Bengaluru.
The award consisting of a plaque and Rs 2,000 cash will be presented during the seventh annual state level function of poet and poetry at Samskrita Bhavana, Hassan on September 24.
Anita Poojary is well known as a poetess, author and story writer. She has B A degree from KSOU Mysore university, secured M A with first rank and a gold medal from Mumbai university. She is currently indulging in studies for Ph D about Mumbai Billavas in Mumbai university under guidance from Dr G N Upadhya.
Seven works of Anita are released. Her stories and poems are broadcast in Mumbai and Mangaluru radio station. She is an active executive committee member of Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha, Maharashtra.
