Bantwal, Sep 25: In a tragic accident that occurred on Sunday, September 25, morning, a bike rider lost his life in a collision with a lorry transporting gravel at the new bridge in Panemangaluru.
The victim has been identified as Raj Kumar, the eldest son of Vasudeva Maiya, a resident of Sajeepa Benkya.
Raj Kumar had recently purchased land in Vamadapadavu and was actively involved in cultivation. The unfortunate incident took place while he was returning home to Sajeepa from Vamadapadavu. A lorry owned by Pavitra Construction, traveling from the opposite direction, collided with his bike.
The collision resulted in severe injuries to Raj Kumar, who was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
The Melkar traffic police have registered a case related to the accident.
