Mangalore, Aug 18: Most of the places in Karnataka coast received good rains on Wednesday August 17. Although the rain was not incessant, it was sufficient for the sustenance of agricultural activities.

Manki in Uttara Kannada district received the highest rainfall of 13 cm. Most other places in the coast received between four and seven cm of rain. The meteorological department has predicted good rains to continue in most of the places in the coastal region, and some more in the hinterland.
