Mangalore: Normal Rains in Udupi, Dakshina Kannada Districts

Mangalore, Aug 19: Light drizzle with occasional heavy rains happened to be the feature of monsoon in the twin-districts on Thursday August 18. Most of the places in Karnataka coast received heavier rains in the evening. The city and surrounding areas got good rains at night.

In Udupi district, Kundapur taluk received less rains as compared to Udupi and Karkala taluks. Anekal near Bangalore received the highest rainfall of ten cm, while the coast received between three and five cm of rain.

The meteorological department has predicted heavy rains during the next two days, which might be in the order of 65 mm.
