Kundapura, Oct 1: "It is our responsibility to protect nature which is God's creation," said Kundapura Additional District and Sessions judge Abdul Rahim Shaikh adding that, "we should all keep the environment clean and maintain discipline."

He was speaking at the 201st cleanliness campaign of Clean Kundapura Project as part of Gandhi Jayanti celebrations after participating in a huge cleanliness campaign in Kodi with the cooperation of various organisations.

Kundapura Assistant Commissioner Rashmi said that the sea has a lot to contribute to the supply of oxygen, which is very important for human existence. "If we do not keep the sea clean, we will not do justice to  society." she said.

 

Kundapura Lawyers Association, Taluk Legal Services Committee Kundapura, Central Government Tourism Department Bengaluru, Coastal Police Force Gangolli, Madhwa Vadiraja Engineering College Bantakallu Lions Club Kundapura Amritdhara, Red Cross Kundapura, Municipality Kundapura and other organisations participated.

Senior judge Raju K, Bar Association secretary Srinath, Red Cross chairman Jayakara Shetty treasurer Shivaram Shetty, Coast Guard inspector Manjappa, Kollur primary health centre medical officer Dr Shailesh, Kundapura Government AYUSH Hospital medical officer Dr Shilpa, Lions Club Kundapura Amritdhara president Asha Shivaram Shetty, Lions District cabinet member Saraswati Putran, Kundapura Railway Passenger Welfare Committee president Ganesh Putran, Kundapur Clean Kundapura Project coordinator Bharat Bangera, Shashidhar, Arun, Santhosh, Pundalik Bangera Prakyath, Jivita Prakyath, mediator, professors and students of Wadiraja Engineering College participated.
