Mangaluru: ICYM Surathkal Unit conducts inter ward Sports Day

Mangaluru, Oct 1: ICYM Surathkal Unit organized Inter ward Sports day for the Parishioners on October 1at Sacred Heart Church ground from 2.30 pm . Fr Richard D’Souza, assistant director of ICYM, Asha Pinto, PPC secretary, Teena Rebello, ICYM animator, Joyvin D’Souza, ICYM president, Loyed Dais, ICYM sports secretary and Venugopal-referee were present on the dais.

Joyvin D’Souza welcomed the gathering. The guest inaugurated the cricket and throw ball tournaments.

A total of 12 wards participated in cricket tournament and seven wards Participated in throw ball tournament. Around 150 parishioners took part in the sports event.

During the valedictory program, Fr Richard Dsouza appreciated the sportsmanship spirit of the players in the parish. The match referee and umpires were awarded with a memento as a token of love and gratitude.

Loyed Dias announced the winners and Veona Noronha compered the Event.

Best Bowler: Sonal Dsouza (Velankanni Ward)

Champions: Infant Jesus Ward
Runners Up: Velankanni Ward
