Kundapur, Oct 2: "We all must recognize our responsibility when it comes to cleanliness. Even a small piece of plastic can pose a significant threat to long-living species like the tortoise. As informed individuals, it is our duty to dispose of garbage properly," stated Rashmi, AC of Kundapur.

Rashmi made these remarks during the Namm Kundapra – Swaccha Kundapra 2.0 program held in commemoration of Gandhi Jayanti.

She went on to say, "Gandhiji symbolizes patience. He fought against discrimination and untouchability, setting an example for all of us. Similarly, Shastriji's foresight in economic matters was truly meaningful."

Sandeep Kharvi, a member of the city municipality, paid floral tributes to a photograph of Mahatma Gandhi.

Chief officer Manjunatha, health officer Dr Shobha, social worker Datta Gangolli, Sadananda Chatra, U S Shenoy, Dr Shbhakarachari, Dr G M Gonda, the principal of Bhandarkars PU College, students, and representatives of various organizations were in attendance.

The event was hosted by lecturer Rohini. A cleanliness campaign was conducted in all 23 wards of the city municipality, with the participation of over 2500 college students.
