Mangalore: Sunshine, Rain, Play Hide and Seek

Mangalore, Aug 22: Coastal Karnataka experienced appearance of sunshine and rainfall alternatively on Sunday August 21. The rainfall was normal, and allowed celebration of Sri Krishna Janmashtami in a grand manner.

Most of the places in the coast including the city, Bantwal, and Puttur, received good sunshine and rain. Comparatively, Udupi district got lesser rain and more of sunshine.

Castle Rock in Uttara Kannada district received 13 cm of rain. The coastal belt of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts received between two and five cms of rain. The meteorological department has predicted some rain during the period till Tuesday morning, in some of the places in the coastal region and hinterland.
