Mangaluru: Aadhar not mandatory for birth, death registration

Mangaluru, Oct 13: Additional deputy commissioner Dr Ananad K said that there should not be any delay in registration of birth and deaths. Commoners should not be troubled. The deaths that are recorded on E-birth software reasons for death should be exactly recorded.

Anand spoke at the meeting that was held on Thursday at the auditorium of DC office in the city with the district level coordinating committee of birth and death registration.

Anand also said that Aadhar card is not mandatory for registration of birth and deaths. Other documents like licence etc can be used. The public can also apply for the same at Gram One offices.
