Mumbai, Aug 23: Finally, it was a star studded event at the finale of the Lakme india Fashion Week 2011.
The LFW was lacking the usual glam quotient this year with B-town’s main celebs missing from the front rows and ramps.
Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Imran Khan and Chitrangda Singh turned up to cheer and support the designers. However, Kareena Kapoor raised the glam factor to a whole new level with her ramp walk for dear friend and designer Manish Malhotra. Sister Karisma Kapoor and Amrita Arora Ladak cheered on for Bebo.
Shabana Azmi was also seen at the Fashion Week with Deepika’s mother while Gautam Singhania sans wife was seen greeting Sabyasachi.
The show’s commencement time was a dampening factor. Sources say that the show commenced at 11 pm instead of 9.30 pm, the reason being, the glass ramp had to be changed as the earlier one had developed cracks.
