Mangalore: Normal Rainfall in District – Heavy Rain in Udupi

Mangalore, Aug 24: While almost all places in Karnataka coast received normal rains, various parts of Udupi district received heavy rains. Udupi registered the highest rainfall of six cm, while other places in the coast received between three and four cm of rain.

Heavy rain in Udupi taluk resulted in losses on account of crashed walls and damage to some agricultural fields.

The meteorological department has predicted rain in most places in the coast and a few places in the hinterland during the period till Thursday morning.
