Udupi: Brahmavar Sports Club to Felicitate Achievers on National Sports Day on Aug 29

Udupi, Aug 28: Brahmavara Sports Club which was started seven years ago has been felicitating sportspersons of Udupi district on the National Sports Day which falls on August 29.

This work of supporting sportspersons with cash prizes are being supported by Udupi district Athletic Association every year.

Brahmavara Sports Club apart from sports activities, is also active in organizing pro-societal programmes. At a programme scheduled to be organized on August 29 this year, Denial Monteiro, office assistant in SMS College, who set his name in Limca record for collecting postal stamps will be felicitated.

The club will bear the full degree educational expenditure of 4 economically poor students of SMS College also SMS college staff Richard Roz will be given financial help for his health treatment.

College Convener Fr Ramban G M Scaria will presid over the programme to be organized at the College Auditorium on August 29 at 4pm. District Kabaddi and Body Builders Association president Sudarshan H and BRP Aroor Thimmappa Shetty will be the guests, stated a press release.
