Mangaluru, Nov 6: Small Christian Community Training (SCC) programme was held on November 5 at St Joseph the Worker Church, Neermarga. The programme commenced with a prayer song followed by honouring the Bible in procession led by Shabitha Saldanha, the secretary of SSC along with the members of central committee of SCC and the members of SCC commission.

Parish priest Fr Paul Pinto in his message said, “Receiving the rays of light from the holy spirit and focusing them on to the community being the motto, let us implement the same in our lives, invigorating our faith and thereby rendering us stronger in our community service.”

The resource person Fr Gilbert D'Souza elucidated the benefits of ward members coming together and sharing the good news and incorporating the same in community service. 

William Colaco of Shaktinagar parish, by means of group discussions, drove home the point as to why and how the community service to be rendered. Asha Monteiro, Shaktinagar, sang and taught a few songs on 'Small Christian community'. Joy Sannu Vas welcomed the gathering, Molly Saldanha compered the programme and Shabitha Saldanha proposed the vote of thanks.
