Udupi, Aug 29: Ramachandra Guruji of Spiritual Solutions Centre Bangalore, said that the first ever documentary prepared on the theory of rebirth has proved the detractors of the belief systems on soul and rebirth, to be wrong. He was speaking at a free introductory programme on hypnotic treatment tiled ‘Antaramanassina Adbhuta Loka’ organized in the town on Sunday August 28.

“Hypnotherapy has been in vogue in the country since ages as an excellent method of treatment. It helps one to heal psychosomatic diseases easily. Ancient physicians like Charaka and Shushruta had used hypnotism affectively for pain-free surgeries. Lord Krishna was the first ever psychologist the world ever saw. He counselled Arjuna, who was going through a phase of depression, and mentally prepared him to fight his close relatives,” he said.

He recollected that a commission had been set up under the chairmanship of Deshabandhu Chittaranjandas by Gandhiji in 1936, because of his immense interest in this subject. Arguing that some tribulations and pains can transcend the boundary of death and afflict the person in his next birth too, Guruji said these can be healed through hypnotism.

In his address, trustee of Ambalpady Temple, Dr Ni Bi Vijaya Ballal, advised people to pay attention to heir mental health in addition to physical one. He felt that it is possible to reach the depths of one’s mind through medication, concentration, and Yoga practices, which help in getting to the root of the problem.

Rotary governor Jayakar Shetty Indrali, and entrepreneur, Shivamurthy Kediyoor, were present. Satyendra Pai, organizer of the programme, welcomed. Jagadish Kamath proposed vote of thanks.
