Mangalurean Giridhar Salian shines at 22nd Asian Masters Athletics Championship

Mangaluru, Nov 11: Giridhar Salian from the city has secured gold medal in javelin throw event at the 22nd Asian Masters Athletics Championship going on at New Clark City stadium, Philippines from November 8-12.

In the 20th Asian Masters Athletics Championship (AMAC) held at China in 2017, Salian had secured 4th place. In the 21st AMAC held in Malaysia in the year 2019, he bagged a silver medal.

Salian said that due to 6 years of rigorous practice and persistent effort, help him reach this outstanding milestone.

Giridhar Salian is the director of KGTTI Mangaluru and Karkala.
