Beltangady: Killing of wild animals – Forest dept officials conduct raid, accused escape

Beltangady, Nov 14: Team of forest officials raided spot at Hosamutt of Charmady village on definite tip off that wild animals are shot and their meat is being prepared on November 13.

However, two accused managed to escape with the meat of the hunted animal.

The team was led by Beltangady forest official Mohan Kumar. The raid was carried out at around 5 pm.

The officials confiscated the basket and gunny bags that were used by the accused while preparing meat of the animal.
