Udupi, Nov 14: Home minister of state Dr Parameshwar spoke to Noor Mohammed, head of the family of four people who were heinously killed by a man on Sunday morning.

Dr Parameshwar consoled the family over phone.

Noor Mohammed urged the home minister and said, “Please arrest the killer and make people come out of the fear. Locals have not even celebrated Deepavali for the same reason. Not a single cracker is burst in Kodi Bengre.”

Dr Parameshwar assured Noor Mohammed of arresting the culprit within two days. MLC Manjunatha Bhandary and other Congress leaders were present during the conversation.

Speaking to media, Noor Mohammed said, “Our family did not have any issues. Do not spread false rumours. Now I am scared to come out of my house. Please arrest the culprit immediately. Police have cooperated with us in a nice manner. We will cooperate with them in future also. This cruel act was done within 15 minutes. My mother who was injured has recovered now.”
