Udupi, Nov 14: Senior worker of Bharatiya Janata Party and former president of the BJP District Minority Morcha Karamat Ali passed away.

Ali was also a close associate of former home minister Dr V S Acharya and a resident of Kunjibettu Katte Acharya Marg.

BJP Udupi District president Kuyiladi Suresh Naik has expressed deep condolences over the death of Karamat Ali.

"The party has lost a senior leader of the minority community due to the death of Karamat Ali, who has given special emphasis to the party organisation by carrying out various responsibilities in the party's minority front, aligning the minority community with the BJP and delivering various facilities of the government to the community," Kuyiladi said in a press release adding that he prays that God grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give his family strength to bear the grief of Ali's loss.

Kuyiladi visited the residence of Karamat Ali along with party workers and offered his condolences to the family of the deceased.

On this occasion, BJP Mangaluru division in-charge K Udaya Kumar Shetty, prominent leaders Ravi Amin, Poornima Suresh Naik, Veena S Shetty, Dawood Abubakar, Girish M Anchan, Dinaka Pujari and others were present.
