Katrina, Imran Bring Curtains Down at VHIMW

New Delhi, Sep 5 (IANS): Bollywood actors Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif sashayed down the ramp at the grand finale of the Van Heusen India Men's Week (VHIMW) for designer duo Karan Johar and Varun Bahl, bringing down the curtains on the three-day gala event in style.

The show began with hooting and applause as Imran took centrestage. The actor looked confident and, with a wide smile, walked down in a black-blue jacket with crisp white trousers.

The first row hooters saw actor Rahul Dev clapping and cheering enthusiastically.

The main show area set the mood with dim blue lights fencing what looked like a cruise with wind navigators placed at the corners, and the ramp floor replicated the sea shore. It looked like one was walking on white pebbles.

Model-turned-actress Katrina, who is not new to the spotlight and ramps, walked in a short black shimmering jacket and black trouser as a rockstar.

She was joined by Imran again, this time in a black formal coat, trouser and shirt and the two walked hand in hand, much to the delight of the audience.

The designer duo showcased the men's pret collection for the second time. Complementing the ambience were the clothes that talked about a vision of Mediterranean chic with a nice blend of florescent slinky cowls, stiff-falling linens and bright silk jerseys.

The colour palette ranged from calm, neutral shades like beige, pastel and olive to denim, pale blue and mustard.

Apart from Imran and Katrina's presence, another high-point of the show was when some models appeared on the ramp shirtless, flaunting their well-built bodies in boxer shorts.
