Karkala: Pillion Rider Dies in Motor Bike Accident

Karkala, Sep 5: A woman travelling on the pillion of a motor bike suffered injuries and died thereafter, on Sunday September 4. The incident occurred at Mala village in the taluk.

Saumya (21) from Hariharapura, was coming to the town along with her husband, Girish, to attend a function. While negotiating the Mala Mulloor ghat road, Girish suddenly lost control over the vehicle, which skidded off the road.

Saumya, who was grievously injured, was provided preliminary treatment here, before shifting her to Manipal for advanced treatment. However, she breathed her last before reaching Manipal. Girish, who suffered minor injuries, is undergoing treatment.

The couple’s marriage was just 11 months old. A case was registered in this connection at the rural police station in the town.

Nov 2008. manufactures have filed SLP 29278 of 2008 and Civil Appeal No. 5359 of 2010 in Supreme Court of India and evading hearing.Some 30,000 motorcyclist and total 1,55,000 citizens are killed annually from motor vehicle accidents. All stakeholders must act now to prevent these accidents.

    we have somany hospital near by udupi, government should't give any permision in udupi, should give permision in interior area like all vilages to stop this accident death each hospital should be every 5 km distance.government should provide free land for who is constructing new hopsital.
