Mangaluru: Bajpe police arrest 48-year-old for bootlegging

Mangaluru, Dec 29: Bajpe police station PSI Kumareshan arrested Jayananda Kulal (48), a resident of Kalladi House, Mogaru village on charges of bootlegging.

PSI Kumareshan was patrolling at Tharemaar of Mogaru village at around 5.45 pm on December 27. As he approached a shop owned by accused Jayananda Kulal, some people who were near the shop ran away seeing the PSI in uniform. The PSI on suspicion, checked inside the shop and found 24 tetra packets of 90 ml liquor kept in a plastic cover below the showcase in the shop. On inquiry, it came to light that the accused was selling liquor without any licence.

Kumareshan arrested accused Jayananda Kulal, along with 24 tetra packets of liquor and Rs 550 in cash. A case in this regard is filed in Bajpe police station. PSI Kumareshan was assisted by personnel of crime detective section of Bajpe police station.

    AYYO,ordinary man must have kept pair of alcohol for New year celebration.Poor man is caught big boss must have ran away.Leave him out .With Rs 550,you cant even buy any vegetable or fish.Search for big fishes.

    Rs 550 in cash and 90 ml tetra pack is enough to nail ordinary man under the clutches of law ? where Big shots are minting in millions of money in various trades line rocks mining , Sand, Timber and many more trafficking cases left scot free, where is 90ml is considered as a worthy of case and put him behind bars - may be without bail. Democracy and Republic together.

    the usual sansakri group doing such chupa rustom acts...Jai ho....they were doing without fear during chaddi rule...but now our secular Lord Siddaraya police will find out all the illegal things and punish them just like Satya Harishchandra
