Mumbai, Sep 12: Actor Ranbir Kapoor will soon be seen in his forthcoming project ‘Rockstar’, which is scheduled to release on November 11. Ranbir has described the movie to be a ‘musical journey’ along with a love story. While promoting the movie in the city, he revealed that he plays the role of ‘Janardhan Jakkad’ who would later transform into a rockstar by the name ‘Jordan’.

Director Imtiaz Ali, speaking about the music of the movie at the promotional event said, “See the title is Rockstar so it's obviously about music and I think the spirit of rock, is local to the place. He is a very local guy, who lives in New Delhi, but he plays western music. His music is a mix of the local taste and the influence of western music," he added.  Oscar winning A R Rahman has composed the music for the movie.

Nargis Fakhri plays the female lead and the late Shammi Kapoor who passed away on August 14 will be seen making his last silver screen appearance in the movie.
