Bantwal: Absconding accused arrested in illegal sand transportation case

Bantwal, Jan 10: The Vittal police arrested an absconding accused in an illegal sand transportation case on January 8.

The arrested is identified as Siddique K M (46), a resident of Kedambadi in Naringa village.

Following the arrest, Siddique was produced before the court. The accused acknowledged the charges, leading the court to impose a fine of Rs 11,000.

He was apprehended by ASI Jayaram, along with the police staff Puneeth, Hemraj, and Ashok.

Due to the absence of documented evidence or a photograph of the accused. The police faced challenges in making the arrest. To address this, ASI Jayaram diligently gathered pertinent information. He obtained documents and a photograph of the accused from district RTO offices and the LIC office, aiding in the successful identification and apprehension of the accused.
