Mangaluru, Jan 16: A man took his own life by hanging at his residence near Madoor Aiyappa Bhajana Mandir, and the incident came to light on Tuesday, January 16.

The deceased, identified as Nagaraj Shetty (32), was employed at E-Cart, an e-commerce company located at Kotekar Beeri. He reportedly returned from work late at night and was later discovered hanging.

Nagaraj's mother had visited his sister's house in Mangaluru, where she recently delivered a baby. At the time of the incident, Nagaraj's younger brother and aunt were at home. On Tuesday morning, when Nagaraj did not wake up as usual, family members broke into his room and were shocked to find him hanging.

The Shetty family had resided in Chembugudde Sevantigudde for many years before purchasing the new house near Madoor five years ago. While Nagaraj's younger brother had an upcoming wedding, Nagaraj chose to remain unmarried, expressing disinterest in marriage.

Financial constraints are suspected to be a potential reason for Nagaraj's drastic step. The Ullal police station personnel are currently investigating the case further.
