Lucknow, Oct 17: After being at the receiving end of the ire of the members of Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena, Team Anna member Prashant Bhushan was lambasted by Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Monday. Baba Ramdev during his visit to Lucknow termed Prashant Bhushan as 'traitor'.
"Prashant Bhushan has given a derogatory remark for division of the country. It cannot be accepted by any patriot. His stand on Kashmir cannot be accepted under any circumstances," said Baba Ramdev.
Further Ramdev also demanded that Anna should clear his stand on this issue. "There is nothing like personal opinion when you are part of an organisation. Personal opinions and freedom of speech are allowed in the country but one should restrain himself and also think twice before uttering anything," he said.
However, Ramdev remained diplomatic when quizzed over why he is not sharing the stage with Anna. Giving no answer, he stated that both he and Anna are fighting against corruption. He however remained mum over UP chief minister Mayawati case. Despite several questions that Mayawati too has charges against her and why he was not targeting her, Ramdev remained silent.
Ramdev remained highly critical of Congress and appealed to the people to defeat the party in the coming elections. He also hailed the defeat of Congress in Hisar terming it as an eye opener for the party which is fast losing faith among the people. "I am opposed to Congress because its government has not acted over black money issue, corruption menace and also cleansing the system. They should clear their stand on these issues," he said.
He claimed that over Rs 400 lac crore of black money is deposited in foreign banks and there should be an intiative to bring back the money. "Congress has been found lacking over these issues," he said.
