Khar said Pakistan is one of the leading countries where the women had been empowered more as compared to other countries and they are playing a vital role, reported Associated Press of Pakistan.

She was addressing a reception hosted here Monday night by British High Commissioner Adam Thomson. The theme was 'Women as Agents of Change'.

Pakistan has a population of nearly 180 million, over half of which are women.
