Rains are pretty common during Dusshera and Diwali and even sometimes during Christmas time. However, the thunder and lightning yesterday was fearsome. Many have lost their costly electronic items due to power surge. During these times one person is needed to guard the equipment by immediately disconnecting the power cords. If no one is present in the house, it is for sure you will be in for a shock. One thing I do not understand is how come thunder and lightning does not affect any equipment in places like Mumbai. Is it that this too only happens in Kar-Nataka?
