Mangalore, Nov 17: Karavali Chitrakalavidara Chavadi, the artist community of Mangalore will organise 'Kudla Kalamela' at Kadri Park on Sunday on December 18.

The festival will include as many as 200 stalls with over 2000 paintings of various types. The artists will also attract and entertain visitors with on-the-spot making of cartoons, caricatures and portraits, stated a media release.

The event aims to take art to the general public. The artist communities of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts have often come out of their galleries to arrange art shows in scenic locales to expose people to art and enable them to appreciate it.

Kudla Kalamela will also provide a common platform to young, up-and-coming, unrecognized artists to interact with senior artists and boost their self confidence. The expo will make art affordable to the common man and enable artists to develop good rapport with the public.
