Mangalore: Eden Family Treasure Hunt Sees Enthusiastic Participation

Mangalore, Nov 21: Eden Aquatic and Sports Foundation, a prestigious Club and landmark in Mangalore successfully organized 'The Eden Family Treasure Hunt 2011' on Sunday November 20. The first vehicle of the treasure hunt was flagged off by Venkat of Mandovi Motors.                                              

As many as 15 vehicles participated in the treasure hunt which was organized by the convener of the event Sumith S Rao on behalf of the Eden Aquatic and Sports Club. The route for the same was set by Vinod D'Souza, an ace rally navigator during the 1980's and 90’s. There was also a quiz on motor sports conducted on this occasion.

The objective of conducting the treasure hunt was to inculcate the habits of safe driving along with adherence to road safety rules of the city and at the same time to make the members aware of the landmarks of our city. The maximum speed for this treasure hunt was 40 km per hr and the route covered a distance of approximately 23 kms.

The main sponsors of this treasure hunt were M/s Mandovi Motors (Maruthi Suzuki Dealers), M/s Ramanath Enterprises (Dealers for Servo) and M/sVillage Restaurant.

The prize winners of this event are as follows:

Ist prize (Rs 3000 + trophy): Arun Kumar and team
2nd prize (Rs 2000 + trophy): Shekar Pujari and team
3rd prize (Rs 1000 + trophy): Manohar Amin and team
Special Ladies prize (Rs 1500 + trophy): Naina Arun and team

The prize distribution was done by Venkat of Mandovi Motors andPrasanna of Ramanath Enterprises.

The event was a grand success.
