Mangalore: Diabetes Awareness Programme Organized at A J Hospital

Mangalore, Nov 21: On the occasion of World Diabetes Day A  J Hospital & Research Centre organized a diabetes awareness programme for the benefit of general public, recently. 

Dr Ramesh Pai, dean of A J Institute of Medical Sciences inaugurated the function. Dr. Ganesh H K Consultant Endocrinologist spoke on prevention of diabetes and its
complications. Dr. Praveen Nayak Consultant Podiatric Surgeon spoke on Prevention and treatment of diabetes Foot.

Sushma Aithal, Diatician, A J Hospital & Research Centre spoke on diabetes and diet and yoga was conducted by Vidyavathi and Kushalappa (yoga therapist) of Avishkar Yoga, Bejai.

Dr Amitha Marla, director - Medical Administration welcomed the gathering, Rani L Shenoy counselor, compered the programme  and  Lydwin D’souza delivered the vote of thanks.

A good number of diabetic patients attended the programme. There was positive feedback from the participants. Overall  it was an interactive and productive
