Udupi: Physician from Brahmavar Ends Life

Udupi, Nov 22: Molahally Dr Satyanand Hegde, who owns Anand Nursing Home at Brahmavar in the taluk, committed suicide on Monday November 21. He was 62.

He had set up his nursing home at Brahmavar in 1989.

Hegde is survived by wife, a son, and a daughter. In 2009, he leased out the nursing home to some others. Before setting up his own nursing home, he had worked in USA for seven years and served Goratti Hospital Kallianpur for two years.

Reasons behind his decision to end life could not be ascertained.

    Very sad news indeed.A person who has to save lives of otthers took recourse of suicide.Great loss to the soceity.May the soul RIP.

    Dr. Satyanand Hegde and his Anand Clinic has served many people in need for the last two decades, in Brahmavar and Dr. Hegde has been a popular personality. Certainly Brahmavar will remember Dr. Satyanand Hegde fondly. Heartfelt condolences to his entire family.
