Mumbai, Sep 17: Shri Satyatmatirtha Swamiji, the head of the Uttaradi Math, emphasized that the purpose of worship is to seek the well-being of the world and the blessings of the divine. He encouraged devotees to understand and practice virtuous deeds, recognizing that while parents give us life, the ultimate reason for our existence is God. These thoughts were shared by the swamiji while blessing devotees at an event in Mumbai.

On Monday, Swamiji visited the Pejawar Math in Prabhat Colony, Santa Cruz East, where he offered prayers to Lord Krishna at the stone temple of the Math. Later, he addressed devotees at the Sri Vishwesha Tirtha Sabha Bhavan (Madhva Bhavan), where he was welcomed with traditional honours.

Mahuli Vidyasimhacharya, the chancellor of Satyadhyana Vidyapeetha, spoke about the achievements of Shri Satyatmatirtha Swamiji, noting how he has worked to rid people of bad habits and has imparted valuable philosophical knowledge to children.

Several dignitaries, including Avinash Shastri, the treasurer of Poornaprajna Vidyapeetha Trust in Mumbai, and other members of the trust such as Dr M S Alva, Vidwan Prakash Acharya Ramakunja, Vidwan Srihari Bhat, and Niranjan J Gogte were present. The devotees offered padapuja (a ritualistic washing of the feet) to Swamiji.

The event concluded with the presentation of fruits and flowers to honour Swamiji. Dr Renjala Ramadas Upadhyaya, the chief administrator of the Pejawar Math's Mumbai branch, welcomed the gathering and expressed his gratitude in his concluding remarks.
