Beltangady, Nov 23: All region meet, a permanent feature of the annual Lord Manjunatha Swamy Laksha Deepotsava celebrations at Dharmasthala, is being held on Wednesday November 23. This will be the 79th meet. In this connection, MP, Maneka Gandhi, arrived here on Tuesday evening. She will stay here and leave on Thursday.

Former chief of Indian Space Research Organization, Dr G Madhavan Nair, will inaugurate the meet, while Maneka Gandhi will preside. Dr Balasaheb Lokapur Bagalkot, Basheer Ahmed Umri Baijapur, and Judith Pinto Mangalore will deliver lectures.

At night today, Kanchimarukatte Utsava will be held.

The annual literary meet will be held at the temple town on Thursday.  It will be inaugurated by Bangalore University vice chancellor, Dr N Prabhudeva. Critic, Dr Giraddi Govindaraj, will preside. Dr Basavaraj Malashetti Hospet, Roopa Hassan, and Dr Satyanarayan Mallipatna will deliver addresses.

On Thursday night, silver chariot festival and Gaurimarukatte Utsava will be organized.
