Kasargod: Udaya Higher Secondary School organizes street play

Kasargod, Oct 3: Udaya Higher Secondary School organized a street play on October 1 at Hosangadi junction to raise awareness about pressing social issues such as plastic pollution, environmental degradation, and the growing menace of drug addiction. The play attracted a large crowd and effectively conveyed important messages to the public.

The event was graced by chief guest Tolson P Joseph, station house officer of Manjeshwar police station. The principal, Jerald Ivan Crasta, and campus director, Fr Santhosh D'Souza, were also present to support the students in this impactful initiative.

Students creatively enacted scenes on the consequences of plastic use, the dangers of pollution, and the harmful effects of drug addiction. Their engaging performances resonated with the audience, emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility in addressing these issues.

The programme was smoothly conducted by MC Sanil, Malayalam language teacher. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Santhosh Kumar, Kannada teacher.

Through this street play, Udaya Higher Secondary School not only showcased the talents of its students but also delivered a powerful and timely message to society, encouraging everyone to contribute to a cleaner and healthier world.
