Udupi: MITK holds workshop on innovation and design thinking

Udupi, Oct 3: A day-long workshop was held on ideation in innovation and design thinking for the 4th semester students of MBA department of MIT Kundapur.

Dr Mohammed Zubair chief innovation officer (CIO) MAHE, Manipal, the chief guest and keynote speaker of the programme, inaugurated the workshop by lighting the lamp. In his inaugural address Dr Zubair opined that there should be a spirit of innovation in everything one does and also told the MBA students how education, innovation and business can go together citing the example of MIT, MAHE Innovation Center.

Brand Building director of IMJ Institutions Dr Ramakrishna Hegde, who was the resource person, conducted the workshop with the HOD of MBA department Dr Suchitra and other departmental faculty members.

As many as 60 students in six batches participated actively in the process of problem definition, ideation and rapid prototyping of IDT and came out with wonderful new business ideas at the end of this workshop.

Jovial Fernandes welcomed the guests and preceded the programme.

The lecturer, all the students of the second MBA department actively participated.
