Mangalore: Ravindra Salian Murder Attempt – Two More Held

Mangalore, Nov 28: Relating to the attempt on the life of Ravindra Salian at Gurpur Kaikamba on November 13, the policemen have made to two more arrests.

Arafat (23) from Ullal, and Abbas alias Ismail (29) from Addoor, have been arrested in this connection. A Maruti Alto car and a Maruti Omni vehicle, which were allegedly used for the act, have been confiscated. On being produced in court, both of them were remanded to judicial custody.

With the above, the number of people arrested so far in the case has gone up to five. The policemen said they are on the lookout for the other persons involved with the murder attempt.

Ravindra was stabbed in broad daylight at Gurpur Kaikamba on November 13, gravely injuring him as a result. They had fled, presumably after seeing other vehicles approaching on the road. Ravindra, who was hospitalized, has been recovering.
