Another Tulu drama in Bahrain: Amma Kalavidaru launches 'Madimeda Illad'

Bahrain, Dec 19: The Tulu drama Madimeda Illad, written by renowned playwright Dinakar Bhandary Kananjaru, will soon be staged in Bahrain by Amma Kalavidaru. The drama's formal launch ceremony recently took place at Kannada Bhavan in Bahrain. Rama Prasad Ammenadka performed the puja rituals and extended his best wishes for the play's success.

Under the leadership of Mohandas Rai Erambu, Amma Kalavidaru has been organizing religious and cultural programs in Bahrain for several years. Madimeda Illad is another offering from the group to the art enthusiasts in the island nation. The drama, directed by talented local directors Pushparaj Shetty Kasaragod and Karunakar Padmashali, is set to be performed on February 14, 2025, at the Manama Indian Club auditorium.

The current president of Amma Kalavidaru Bahrain, Prasad Shetty, handed over the scripts to the performers, wishing them success in their roles. The event witnessed the participation of several dignitaries, including Subhash Chandra, CFO of Diyar Muharraq; Kannada Sangha secretary Ram Prasad Bhat Ammenadka; former president of Bahrain Bunts Association Rajesh Shetty; newly appointed president of Yakshadhruva Patla Foundation Bahrain-Saudi Chapter Deepak Rao Pejavar; former president Narendra Shetty; President of Bahrain Billawas Harish Poojary; founder president of Royal Tulukuota Karmar Nagesh Shetty; President of Vishwakarma Association Satish Acharya; former president of Mogaveers Bahrain Chandra Mendan; and former president of Kulal Bahrain Ganesh Kulal Manila. They all extended their good wishes for the play's success.

The program was moderated by Yakshit Shetty, while Praveen Shetty Kinnigoli delivered the vote of thanks.
