Mumbai, Jan 13: Actress Wamiqa Gabbi, known for her stellar performances in Jubilee, Khufiya, and Charlie Chopra & The Mystery of Solang Valley, is reportedly being considered to star opposite Ranveer Singh in the much-anticipated Shaktimaan movie. The film will be helmed by Minnal Murali director Basil Joseph, who has been developing this superhero project for over five years.

According to sources, the pairing of Wamiqa Gabbi and Ranveer Singh could bring a fresh dynamic to the big-screen adaptation of the beloved Indian superhero. While discussions are ongoing, no official announcement has been made regarding the casting.

A source told Mid-Day: “The project is still in the scripting phase, and the final casting will be confirmed once the script is locked and schedules are aligned.”

In addition to this buzz, Wamiqa Gabbi has also reportedly signed a film alongside Telugu superstar Nani, further expanding her repertoire.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is currently engrossed in Aditya Dhar's spy thriller, slated for release this year. Following that, the actor will commence work on Basil Joseph's superhero project in March.
