Mumbai, Jan 31: The 36th annual Sri Satyanarayana Mahapuja and Sri Sai Baba Puja, organized by Sri Sainath Mitra Mandali (Regd), was held with great devotion at Sai Sadan in Colaba, Cuffe Parade, South Mumbai, on Thursday evening. The event, which has been a tradition for over three decades, included various religious ceremonies and a grand Sai Bhandara.
Recognized as the annual fair of Colaba, the event featured Sai Abhisheka, Homa, Sri Satyanarayana Mahapuja, Sai Maharati, and a large-scale public feast in the evening. The rituals were conducted by Vidwan Sri Bhavanishankar Bhat (Ghatkopar), who performed the Satyanarayana Mahapuja, and Vidwan Sri Rakesh Bhat, who led the Sai Baba Puja. N Krishna Bhat conducted the puja and distributed Teertha Prasada to the devotees, while Mohan Maiya assisted in the ceremonies.
The annual festival, which has been continuously held for over 35 years under the leadership and guidance of Kadandale Suresh S Bhandary, former administrative trustee of Kachhooru Sri Nageshwara Temple, Barkur, and director of Manifold Co-operative Credit Society Ltd, witnessed the presence of several dignitaries. Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Speaker Rahul N Narwekar, Bhandari Seva Samiti Mumbai president Justice Ranjith S Bhandary, former presidents advocate Shekhar S Bhandary and Advocate Ramanna M Bhandary, along with Prabhakar P Bhandary, Dharmapal P Kotyan (Sri Geetambika Seva Samiti, Asalfa), Suresh Shetty Kanjanaru, Sunil Amin, K Gopal Bhandary, Kavita Bhandary, Pallavi Ranjith Bhandary, Shashidhar D Bhandary, and Rakesh Bhandary were among the notable attendees. Thousands of devotees also gathered to seek the blessings of Sai Baba.
Sri Sainath Mitra Mandali president Kadandale Suresh S Bhandary, along with Shobha Suresh Bhandary, Anagha Bhandary, Saurabh S Bhandary, Megha S Bhandary, and Aryaman Saurabh Bhandary, welcomed the Sai devotees and expressed their gratitude to all participants.
