Udupi: MGM College inaugurates NSS annual special camp

Udupi, Feb 14: The National Service Scheme annual special camp of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College was inaugurated at the Sri Narayana Guru Sabha Bhavan, Manipur on February 12.

B P Varadaraya Pai, secretary of the Academy of General Education inaugurated the camp.

B P Varadaraya Pai, in his inaugural note, said, “This one-week camp will be a platform for young students to engage in activities. Stepping away from the routine of daily life, this camp will provide a new experience of co-existence.”

The camp officer, Suchith Kotian, welcomed the gathering. Camp officer of Unit 2, Rekha N Chandra, conducted the oath ceremony. NSS volunteer Rashmitha Nayak delivered the vote of thanks, and NSS leader Anjali compered the event.

President of the Sri Narayanaguru Dharma Paripalana Committee Nataraj Poojari, principal of MGM College professor Lakshminarayana Karant, vice principal of MGM College Dr M Vishwanath Pai, principal of Evening College Dr Devidas S Nayak, administrator of MAHE Cultural Centers Dr Jagadish Shetty, IQAC coordinator professor Shailaja, head of the mathematics department professor Saraswati T, were present.
