St Aloysius students organise event on health and nutrition at DK ZP Higher Primary School

Mangaluru, Feb 22: The students of the department of Journalism and Mass Communication, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) organised an engaging event focused on health and nutrition on February 21. The event took place at Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Higher Primary School, Mullakad.

The principal, Usman, delivered an address, emphasising the importance of healthy eating habits and discouraging junk food consumption among the youth.

Following this, resource persons Nayana Kumari and Shivakumar spoke on various topics related to healthy living. They highlighted essential aspects of nutrition, including the significance of vitamins and nutrients in daily life, proper hydration, and the importance of good sleep. The event was attended by 150 students from grades 6 to 9.

Sahana P K, a second-year MA journalism and mass communication student compered the event. Tapasvi Vachhani, welcomed the gathering.

Neha delivered vote of thanks. This initiative not only educated young students about health and nutrition but also fostered a sense of community engagement within the school
