Mumbai, Feb 27: Actor and dancer Raghav Juyal, known for his mesmerizing slow-motion moves, embraced the spirit of Maha Shivratri with deep devotion as he visited the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Maharashtra to offer prayers.

Dressed in a simple kurta and pants, Raghav fully immersed himself in the spiritual atmosphere, participating in rituals with sincerity. Reflecting on the festival’s significance, he shared, “In Uttarakhand, Maha Shivratri feels just like Diwali, with an air of excitement and devotion everywhere.”

He recalled his childhood memories of visiting Gopeshwar Temple with his family for special pujas every year. “Due to work commitments, I couldn’t travel home this time, so I came here instead to seek Baba’s blessings,” he added.

Blending seamlessly with fellow devotees, Raghav’s humble and unassuming presence was admired by those around him. Many appreciated his deep respect for tradition and spirituality.

Beyond his spiritual side, Raghav’s unique dance identity remains unforgettable. On the comedy show Aapka Apna Zakir, he recalled an amusing encounter with the police from his early fame days.

“This was back when my dance show became a huge success. I was once stopped at an intersection by cops who recognized me. Instead of checking my documents, they asked, ‘Hey! Cockroach?’ and wanted to see me dance in slow motion. It was a heavily barricaded area, and I ended up performing my signature moves right there on the street.”

Raghav, popularly known as ‘Crockroaxz’, first gained fame as a finalist on Dance India Dance 3. He later led ‘Raghav Ke Rockstars’ to victory in Dance Ke Superkids. His journey expanded into Bollywood with his 2014 debut in ‘Sonali Cable’, followed by roles in ABCD 2, Street Dancer 3D, and last year’s ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’.

As Raghav continues to balance his artistic and spiritual pursuits, his Maha Shivratri celebration serves as a reminder of his grounded nature despite his rising fame.
