Mumbai, Sep 14: BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut has hit back at actor Rakhi Sawant following her controversial remarks about Kangana and actor-politician Smriti Irani.
Reacting to Rakhi’s comments, Kangana described her as “unsuccessful and bitter” and accused people who have failed to achieve success of targeting successful women out of jealousy and envy.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Kangana wrote that unsuccessful people often attempt to “character assassinate” successful women to justify their jealousy, failures and ego. She also said successful women should stop feeling vulnerable to such attacks, feeling humiliated or constantly explaining themselves.

In another strongly worded post, Kangana mocked Rakhi’s claims about doing favours for others and questioned whether such efforts had helped her achieve success. She told Rakhi to “sit down, watch my reels and keep crying”.
Rakhi had recently faced criticism over suggestive comments she made about Kangana, Smriti Irani and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The latest exchange is not the first public clash between Kangana and Rakhi. The two have previously traded barbs on social media.
Earlier, Rakhi had posted a video criticising Kangana over her remarks about the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest in Delhi and referred to Kangana as a “gutter mouth”.
Kangana subsequently responded by criticising Rakhi and other celebrities who had spoken against her. She said she regularly faced criticism from people including actor Ashutosh Rana, Sonu Sood, Rakhi Sawant and Taapsee Pannu.
Kangana had then argued that people who had not achieved even a fraction of her success should not expect her to take their opinions seriously. She also accused some of her critics of using the media to remain relevant.
Rakhi was recently seen on comedian Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent alongside entrepreneur Ashneer Grover, comedian Kushagra Srivastava and The Habitat owner Balraj Ghai.
Meanwhile, Kangana was last seen in Bharat Bhagya Vidhata.
