Hyderabad, Mar 14: Telangana Congress MLC Amer Ali Khan has called upon Muslim youth to explore entrepreneurship as a means of financial empowerment, emphasizing the importance of self-employment in today’s economic landscape.
Speaking at a salary distribution event for employees of Ministry of Cheese (MoC), a fast-growing snack cart chain in Hyderabad, Khan underscored the need for financial independence. The initiative, backed by Siasat Hub, aims to provide job opportunities and stability for young workers.

MoC, an enterprise funded by Amer Ali Khan, was launched to create employment avenues in Hyderabad through an expanding network of snack carts. The event reflected his commitment to empowering youth and promoting business ventures within the community.
Expressing concern over rising unemployment among Muslim youth, Khan criticized the previous BRS government for failing to tackle the job crisis despite a large number of qualified candidates. He pointed out that the socio-economic and caste census conducted by the Congress government had provided crucial insights into youth unemployment, particularly within the Muslim community. He assured that this data would be instrumental in designing effective welfare programmes.
Highlighting the Congress-led Rajiv Yuva Vikas Scheme, which has a budget of Rs 6,000 cr to support unemployed youth, Khan urged aspiring entrepreneurs to make the most of the initiative. Under this scheme, nearly five lakh eligible youth will receive Rs 3 lac each through SC, ST, BC, and Minority Finance Corporations to start their own businesses.
The scheme is set to roll out on March 15, with applications open until April 5. Successful candidates will be shortlisted, and approval letters will be distributed by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on June 2, marking Telangana’s Formation Day.
Assuring full support to aspiring entrepreneurs, Khan stated that Siasat Hub would guide them in understanding the scheme’s guidelines and application process. He also reiterated his commitment to launching more business ventures like MoC to foster self-employment among Muslim youth.
