Mumbai, Mar 18: In a significant political development, three Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates, along with one nominee each from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Shiv Sena, have filed their nominations for the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Council (MLC) by-elections.
The bypolls were necessitated following the vacancies in the state council. BJP has nominated its leaders to strengthen its presence in the upper house, while its allies—Shiv Sena and NCP (Ajit Pawar faction)—have put forward their respective candidates.

With nominations now filed, the political equations in Maharashtra are set to witness fresh developments as parties prepare for the electoral battle.
