Sullia, Mar 22: A young man from Balila, who was set to get married soon, has gone missing, prompting his family to file a complaint at the Bellare police station.

The missing person has been identified as Harish Rai, son of Sheenappa Rai from Derampalu RC House in Balila village. Harish, who had been working as a senior executive at a private finance company in Puttur for the past 13 years, was engaged to a distant relative.

On the morning of March 20, Harish informed his family that he was visiting his fiancee’s house before heading to work. He left home on his bike around 7:30 am, with plans to return by 5 pm. However, when he did not return even by 6 pm, his family grew concerned and called his fiancee.

According to the fiancee, Harish picked her up on his bike in the morning and dropped her off at the Puttur bus stand, as she had to travel to Vittal. He then mentioned that he was heading to Mangaluru for gold shopping. She tried calling him after 12 pm, but his phone was switched off.

His family and colleagues attempted to contact him and check with relatives in Mangaluru, but no information has been found. His elder brother, Venkappa Rai, has filed a complaint, urging the police to trace Harish at the earliest.
