Maharashtra govt transfers 5 bureaucrats in minor reshuffle, follows earlier round of 7 transfers

Mumbai, Apr 9: In a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, the Maharashtra government on Tuesday issued transfer orders for five Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, marking another round of administrative rejigs this month.

As per the latest government notification:

• CK Dange (IAS, 2010 batch) has been appointed as managing director, Maharashtra State fisheries development corporation, Mumbai.

• Sanjay Katkar (IAS, 2014 batch) takes charge as managing director, Maharashtra Information Technology Corporation, Mumbai.

• Anita Meshram (IAS, 2015 batch), who was previously MD of the Fisheries Development Corporation, has now been posted as chief executive officer, Akola Zilla Parishad.

• Abhinav Goel (IAS, 2016 batch), formerly collector of Hingoli, is the new municipal commissioner, Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation.

• Ayushi Singh (IAS, 2019 batch) has been appointed as additional tribal commissioner, Nagpur.

This comes shortly after a previous round of transfers on April 2, where seven bureaucrats were shifted:

• Nishi Pandey (IAS, 2001 batch) took over as MD, Maharashtra Small Scale Industries Development Corporation.

• Laxminarayan Mishra (IAS, 2012 batch) was named Joint MD, Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation.

• Dr Bharat Bastewad (IAS, 2013 batch), then CEO of Raigad Zilla Parishad, was appointed Commissioner, MGNREGA, Nagpur.

• Dr Indurani Jakhar (IAS, 2016 batch), the former Municipal Commissioner of Kalyan-Dombivali, became Collector of Palghar district.

• Vasumana Pant (IAS, 2017 batch), earlier DG of VANAMATI, Nagpur, was made Additional Municipal Commissioner, Nagpur.

• Vaishnavi B (IAS, 2019 batch), then CEO of Akola Zilla Parishad, was also transferred as Additional Municipal Commissioner, Nagpur.

• Neha Bhosle (IAS, 2020 batch) is now the Chief Executive Officer, Raigad Zilla Parishad.

The latest reshuffle reflects the state government's ongoing efforts to streamline administrative efficiency and ensure optimal placement of officers in key departments across Maharashtra.
