Udupi, Apr 25: On the occasion of International Girls ICT Day, Ananya Foundation organized a hands-on workshop on 'Smart Conversational Chatbot using Oracle Apex and LLMS' by Niveditha B Bhat, analytics engineer and Vidisha Shet, cloud solution engineer, Oracle Solution Engineering Hub-Technology, Japan and Asia Pacific on April 24 in Workshop Lab, F Block. IEEE Student Branch and Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management associated this session.

In the workshop, the resource person explained about Apex- low code development platform to build applications and architecture of Apex which includes Browser, oracle rest data services, oracle database. They also explained about LLM - large language models and the real-world applications of LLM like transcription, translation, candidate screening, sentiment analysis and many more.

Under the expert guidance of the esteemed resource persons, the students learnt to create their own intelligent conversational chatbot. Using Oracle APEX, a powerful tool for rapid web application development, they saw how easily ideas can be transformed into working applications.

The session was very informative resulting in positive feedback and gratitude from attendees for creating the awareness about intelligent conversational chatbot. Around 60 students participated and benefited from the workshop.

The programme was compered by Chitkala of 6th semester CSE and thanked the Ananya Foundation for arranging the session. Dr Lolita Priya Castelino, coordinator WEC and Dr Mamatha, HOD- AI&ML welcomed the guest florally and Dr Ganesh Aithal, vice principal presented the memento to the chief guest. Dr Sadananda L Rao, coordinator IEEE was present during the session. Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat, principal of the college supported and guided in organizing the programme.
