Mumbai, Apr 26: Actor Vivek Dahiya has made it clear that he has no interest in participating in the popular but controversial reality show Bigg Boss, hosted by Salman Khan. His wife, actress Divyanka Tripathi, also revealed that they don't even watch the show.
Appearing on Bharti Singh and Harssh Limbachiyaa’s podcast, the couple was asked if they would join Bigg Boss if offered. “No, not Bigg Boss,” Vivek replied firmly. Both Vivek and Divyanka agreed, “We don’t watch it.”
Divyanka shared that when there were rumours about Vivek possibly being approached for the show, they tried watching it. “The kind of fights that were going on... it felt too negative. I feel that negativity and want to run away from it,” she said.
Asked if he could handle the show’s confrontational format, Vivek said, “I can fight—I’m a Jaat. But putting yourself in such a situation just for money? There are many other ways to earn.”
Divyanka added, “He’s a great mix—classy and sophisticated from studying in the UK, yet there’s a true Jaat inside him!”
Vivek, known for shows like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Qayamat Ki Raat, also recalled visiting his uncle, a jailer, during childhood. Watching his uncle switch between fierce authority and gentle kindness taught him a lesson: “Getting angry isn’t always the solution—just showing anger is often enough.”
