Mumbai, Apr 27: Bollywood stars have expressed deep shock and sorrow following the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives. Actress Divya Dutta, in her statement, called the incident ‘heartbreaking’ and extended her heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families. She also emphasized her support for the country, saying, “It’s very tragic, and my absolute heartfelt sympathies are with the families. We stand by our country.”

Echoing similar sentiments, Bollywood's ‘Aashiqui’ star Anu Aggarwal condemned the attack and expressed her sorrow, stating, “I feel really sad and lend my full support to those who have suffered due to this terrorist attack.” She voiced her confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s response, saying, “I’m sure he will take the correct action. Nobody will stay silent after such an incident.”

Anu also spoke on the controversy surrounding the attack, urging introspection and understanding. “Whenever such an incident takes place, everyone wants to find out why and how it happened. Some blame security lapses, others blame the Muslim community, but I believe we should correct ourselves first,” she said.

The attack on April 22, which targeted tourists in the picturesque Baisaran Valley, saw militants from The Resistance Front (TRF) claim responsibility. Reports indicated that the victims were separated based on their religion before being killed.
